Billie Eilish and Finneas’ new restaurant, Argento, in Silverlake, will open in December 2023 in the former Little Pine space.
Argento
According to Los Angeles magazine, Billie Eilish and Finneas are joining forces with restaurateur Nic Adler to invest in the upcoming Silver Lake restaurant Argento. The initial announcement for Argento came in March 2023, with plans to take over the Little Pine space previously owned by another musician, Moby.
Departing from Little Pine’s seasonal American menu, Argento will focus on Italian American classics. The restaurant, scheduled to open in December 2023, will feature a chef’s table and an expanded outdoor patio designed by Sarita Jaccard. Scott Winegard, formerly associated with Matthew Kenney’s plant-based restaurant group, will lead the kitchen.
How?
For Billie Eilish and Finneas’ new restaurant in Silverlake, they connected with Adler through Darkroom founder Justin Lubliner. With a strong background in the music industry, Adler has a rich history, having managed the iconic Roxy on the Sunset Strip alongside his father, Lou Adler, a renowned record and film producer. In addition to Argento, Adler has been involved in various hospitality projects, including overseeing the culinary aspects of Goldenvoice’s Coachella music festival and managing eateries such as Monty’s Good Burger and Nic’s On Beverly.
What’s with Italian?
On this stretch of Rowena alone, there are already two Italian joints—Blair’s and Michaelangelo’s. With those, the opening of Donna’s (read my write-up here), and the thousands of other Italian restaurants, this local is skeptical. We’ll have to wait and see—and eat, of course!
