Dr. Levon entered his waiting room instantly connecting eyes with me. His head shaking as if it were a pendulum. If not for his loving smile I would have thought I was in trouble for sure.
Glenn
Mr. Levon. Thank you for talking with me today.
Levon
It’s Doctor Levon.
G
Got it. How long have you been living in Los Angeles, and where are you originally from.
L
22 years. And Georgia the country not the state.
G
You came here when you were young.
L
When I was thirteen.
G
I found you on Yelp, and you’re an incredible chiropractor with a practice in downtown Los Angeles. What brought you downtown?
L
I’ve always loved downtown. I lived here before I practiced here from 2001 to 2012. And then I moved out a couple years ago.
G
How do you feel about the downtown changes happening so quickly?
L
I love it. I kinda new about it before it came out, and I have been waiting for it.
G
What are your favorite places on the east side to shop or hangout?
L
I like most of the vegan restaurants. Like Sage in Echo Park, I like gratitude, and the Springs in downtown’s Arts District.
G
What’s your favorite dish at the Springs?
L
Definitely the ceaser salad and the carbonara pasta.
G
And that’s all raw food.
L
Yes, all raw and all plant sourced. I’m a big raw advocate.
G
What are your thoughts now on the east side and downtown? Where do you see it going in the next decade.
L
I see it flourishing. The seven or eight buildings under construction will be done and I see probably 20 new high rises coming next.
G
Do you own your home? Or do you rent.
L
I own my home. I bought a couple years ago. In Silver Lake in 2o12.
G
Tell me about your practice.
L
It’s chiropractic care. We do corrective care. Take x-rays, we assist the spine and go through the program to correct that. And we deal with injures and heath issues not just back pain.
G
You’re my chiropractor so I defiantly recommend you. My back hasn’t felt pain free in years.
L
You’re welcome, Glenn.
